You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or go for two detailed maps of your space to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.
This robot vac performs well on both bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do and can clean up pet hair with ease. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug walls and furniture. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of higher-end models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
As for the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away when it encounters one.
What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and also washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong, such as low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.
You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's some clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first pass. It can also remove wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
